Much of SmartVoice has to go on the boot drive. The installer is only set up to install to the active system folder. Macintalk 2 and Pro 2 will only work when in the active system folder.
If you want to install on another drive, you must first copy a system folder to that drive (the one off your system install disk would be a good one). Next go into control panels and go to "Startup Disk". Select the drive you want to install to and choose it to be the startup drive. Reboot the computer. You should now have started from the drive you want to install to. Follow the normal install. When your done, go back into the control panels folder (insider your original system folder) of your original startup drive and find "Startup disk" again. Double click it and reselect your original startup drive then reboot.
You will not be able to use Macintalk 2 , Pro 2, or SmartVoice until you have the Macintalk 2 and /or Pro 2 installed in the system folder your booting from.
-You want to reinstall SmartVoice
Just reinstall right over the top of any existing SmartVoice software. The installer will overwrite it.
